Obituary

SALEM- John J. Kozlowski, 88, of Salem, husband of the late A. Beatrice (Muse) Kozlowski, died Saturday evening, April 1, 2006 at the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home, Salem, following a long illness.

Born in Salem, where he was a lifelong resident, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Victoria (Korzieneska) Kozlowski.

Mr. Kozlowski was employed in the leather industry and later at Parker Brothers until his retirement in 1983.

He was a parishioner of the St. John The Baptist Church in Salem. He enjoyed music, golf and lobstering.

He is survived by one daughter, Judith A. Kozlowski of Salem, one son, John J. Kozlowski, JR and his wife, Donna, of Danvers and York, Maine, one grandson, John J. Kozlowski III and his wife Sharlene of Ossineke, Michigan, four great grandchildren, John Joseph IV, Jacob, Emily and Joshua Kozlowski, all of Ossineke, Michigan, one sister, Josephine Lynch of Salem and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Ronald C. Kozlowski, brother of the late Walter J. Kozlowski, Frank Kozlowski, Helen Shanahan and grandfather of the late Diane Kozlowski.

His funeral will be held Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 9 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am at the St. John The Baptist Church, Salem. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm. Burial is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
