George Daskal, 83, of Derry, NH, died Saturday July 10, 2021 in Parkland Medical Center in Derry. He was born in E. Derry, NH on June 4, 1938, a son of the late James and Gladys (Hagis) Daskal, and had been a lifelong Derry resident. George was a US Army veteran serving from 1961 - 1963. He had been employed as a carpenter for Dzioba Construction for many years.
He is survived by his son, Glen Daskal of Derry; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan C. (Martin) Daskal in 2011, his son, James P. Daskal in 1990, his brother, Nicholas in 2017, and his sister Elizabeth MacRury in 2020.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 15th at 10:00am in the Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Road, East Derry, NH. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, New England Affiliate, 260 Cochituate Road, 2nd Floor, Suite 200, Framingham, MA 01701, in memory of his wife Joan.
