Obituary

SALEM- Pastor Humberto Noble Alexander, 68, husband of Carmen R. (Mendez) Alexander, of West Hartford, CT, formerly of Salem, died Saturday, July 20, 2002 at the Hartford Hospital following a short illness.

Born in San German, Cuba, he was the son of the late Christopher J. H. and Beryl D. (Harris) Alexander. He came from Cuba to the United States in 1984, joining his family in Salem.

Pastor Noble, as he was known, was a Seventh Day Adventist minister and was pastor of the Primera Hispanic Seventh Day Adventist Church in Yonkers, New York. He also served at SDA churches in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one sister, Paulina Alexander of Salem and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Peggy Alexander and Annie Alexander.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2002 at 3 pm at the Faith Seventh Day Adventist Church, 500 Woodland St., Hartford, CT. Burial service will be held Friday, July 26, 2002 at Noon at the Greenlawn Cemetery, corner of North & Orne Streets, Salem, MA. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
