James M. “Jim” Widener, age 24 of Brockton, died unexpectedly Saturday July 3, 2021 at his home. He was born in Boston and raised in Brockton, a son of James Widener and Nicole (Slavin) Medeiros. He attended South Easton Vocational-Tech High School and had been a landscaper in the Brockton area.
With his artistic talents, Jim enjoyed music, drawing and making crafts. He also enjoyed his reptiles and snakes but most importantly spending time with his family and loved ones. Jim will be remembered as a loving, compassionate, caring and determined young man.
In addition to his parents, Jim is survived by a brother Justin Widener and a sister Joie Hannah Medeiros and was the brother of the late Ashley Mylett and Matthew Mylette. He was the grandson of Donna Widener, James Widener, Sr., and Kathleen Slavin and also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Please consider making a donations in Jim’s name to the charity of your choice.
