Joseph W. McGee of Adamsville, RI, passed away on July 5, 2021 at the age of 77. He was born in Fall River, MA in 1944. He was the son of the late Joseph J. McGee and Antoinette (Levesque) McGee of Westport, MA.
He was a very hard worker all his life, sometimes held three jobs a day to support his family, never would borrow a dime from anyone.
He was an auto body worker, delivered for Lees Oil of Westport, lobsterman at Westport Point, security guard at Newport Hospital for Wells Fargo, his proudest one of all, was being a security guard at the New York Yacht Club Harbor Court in Newport. He started when they opened in 1988 and worked there for 29 years, most of the time seven days a week until 2017 when illness forced him to retire. He was a diehard Red Sox fan all his life.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Constance McGee of 57 years, truly dedicated son Richard McGee of Little Compton and Joseph W. McGee, Jr. of Middletown, RI, a brother Leo McGee, 4 sisters: Yvette Lemieux, Pauline White, twin sister Antoinette Schwerak and Yvonne Earley, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
