June A. (DiStefano) Martin, 92, of Wareham, wife of the late Edgar A. “Skip” Martin, passed away on April 2, 2021 after a period of failing health.
June was born and raised in Brockton, daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary DiStefano (Augenti). June attended Brockton High School and worked in the banking industry after graduation. She loved to travel and even spent time in Europe. After their marriage, June & Skip settled in Altamonte Springs, FL where they lived for several years before returning to Brockton where they resided for many years.
June loved music and movies and enjoyed traveling. She also loved animals, especially her dog Sammie and the many cats she adopted. She enjoyed shopping and showering her family with cards and gifts and was very appreciative of all she received from others. June was a kind, caring, and loving person who will be greatly missed.
June was predeceased by her husband Skip and her parents Nicholas and Mary DiStefano. She was the cherished sister of Sue M. Riordan of Dennis and her husband the late John “Jack” Riordan. June was the beloved aunt of Mark Riordan and his wife Ann of Hanover, Sue Ann Hurley and husband Jack of Kingston, Jeanne Riordan of Dennis, Jack Riordan and his wife Linda of Kingston, Debbie Wright and husband R.D. of Roanoke, VA, and Dan Riordan and his wife Nancy of Rockland. She is also survived by several dear cousins, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends. June was predeceased by her niece Cathy Riordan.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 11am followed by burial Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
