Thomas (Tom) Bilodeau 3-18-46 to 6-23-21
Surrounded by his family, Tom passed away June 23, 2021, in Knoxville Tennessee after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Manchester NH, he resided and raised his family in Goffstown NH. He retired to Englewood Florida for the last 18 years before recently relocating to Madisonville TN.
Tom married his first and only love, Nancy (Sue) in 1965 and they shared the journey of a lifetime together. They had 5 wonderful children, Mark Bilodeau and wife Christine of New Boston NH, Scott Bilodeau of Epping NH, Tammy Turgeon and husband Mark Duprey of Bedford NH, Tommy Bilodeau of Manchester NH, and Chanon Lemay and husband Paul of Weare NH. Tom was most influential to his 6 grandchildren, Mark, Nathan, Tanner, Jaiden, Mackenzie, Cote, and 7 great grandchildren, Haleigh, Jordyn, Kayse, Xander, Landan, Braeden, and Lilianna.
Tom owned and operated numerous automotive repair shops since the 1970’s including his first, Tom’s Auto Body, and his last, Maaco. Tom forged many relationships and countless friendships through his work.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman his entire life. He loved to ice fish, fly fish, freshwater fish, and deep-sea fish. He enjoyed many extravagant hunting adventures including big game hunts in Canada, Alaska, Wyoming, Montana, Kentucky, Georgia, Florida, and New Hampshire, often preserving his trophies through taxidermy. He stood iconic in his own right by mentoring many through this passion.
Tom was a master craftsman of carpentry and construction. His legacy lives on through the many building and renovation projects he completed over the years including his recent home in Madisonville TN.
His love, life and legacy live on in our hearts; feel his love through the depth of your fond memories. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Institute, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA. 02451. A celebration of life will be held later this year.
