Obituary

Carolyn Gayle, 75, of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts went directly to Heaven on July Fourth, after her family bade her farewell at home. Born in Brockton, MA to parents Albert Pierce and Harriet (Clemens) Pierce.

She graduated Brockton High School and Fisher College. She worked as a medical secretary, but for much of her life she set the gold standard for mothering. Married to Paul Gayle for 54 years, she raised four children: Brian, Lesley, Stephanie, and Matthew, and pitched in rearing many children of the Robin Pond neighborhood.

An avid painter, seamstress, bass fisher, and reader, she also excelled in first aid (a must given her children’s proclivity for emergency room visits). A talented (but criminally unknown) voice actress she staged multiple reenactments of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom with an all stuffed animal cast.

She was the beloved sister of Cynthia Scott, and leaves behind five grandchildren: John, Paul, Rachel, Christopher, and Oliver.

Private memorial and burial services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m., because it’s time Cally had a VIP party worthy of her.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charitable cause. She loved all animals and some people, so gifts to the MSPCA or St. Jude’s Hospital would be appreciated
