On Monday, June 21, 2021, Kathryn "Kay" Lola Woodard, loving mother to three children and three grandchildren, passed away at the age of 73.
Kathryn was born in Winchester, MA on June 20, 1948 to Clifton Otis Woodard and Margaret Ellen McCaul. She was one of nine children.
Her spirit is carried on by her children, Megan, Matty Lin, and James and her grandchildren Griffin, Lilly and Stephen as well as several siblings, nieces and nephews.
Kay had a passion for nursing, nature and the beach. She worked as an L.P.N. for over 40 years in everything from Emergency Room to Labor & Delivery and later to Nursing Homes. She grew up next to the ocean and was never very far from the beach. She collected sea glass, drift wood and ocean-smoothed bricks. She loved watching all of the birds, especially the piping plovers, on Duxbury Beach.
Kay would also spend much of her time crafting, doing puzzles and perfecting her green thumb. She taught her children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren how to create and how to be silly. She loved plants, her favorite flowers were cosmos, marigolds and hybrid lilies.
She never cared what others thought. She was the most unique mother and was always there to support anyone who needed it. She was unselfish, kind and always believed in you.
We love you, mama Kay. Rest now.
