Catherine A. (Sylvia) Costa, 59, of Westport passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of Ralph C. Costa.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late August and Mary (Moniz) Sylvia, she had lived in Westport since 1978. She was a delivery coordinator for Sylvan Nursery. Mrs. Costa loved her horse Montana and her dogs Velvet, Star and her late dog Cheeko. She enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with her family and friends. She loved the Lord and had a smile that brightened up the room.
Including her husband, she is survived by a step daughter: Tina Lynn Costa and her step grandson of New Bedford; 5 sisters: Sandra Siler of SC, Jacqueline Sylvia of Qatar, Mary Carreiro and her husband Joe of New Bedford, Victoria Medeiros of New Bedford and Alice Johnson and her husband Paul "PJ" of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews..
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home at 7:00 P.M.
Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. prior to the service.
