BLATZ, Pearl Rose (Civita), 88, of Dedham, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Carlo P. and Christine (Guidi); the beloved wife of the late John P. Blatz; devoted mother of John P Blatz Jr., Stephen E. Blatz, and Jeffrey M. Blatz; mother-in-law to Alison Cross, Monica Blatz, and Pedro Medina; and grandmother of Haley Blatz, Rachel Blatz, and Luca Medina-Blatz; and sister of Carlo P. Civita Jr., of Dedham, and the late Vilma Maloney of Plymouth.
Pearl graduated from Dedham High School in 1950 and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in 1952. She worked for many years at the Civita family- owned Italian Kitchen in Dedham, and as an executive assistant at CommercialWare in Dedham from 1982 - 2006. She was an avid and knowledgable collector of antiques and worked as a dealer at Thoreauly Antiques in Concord until 2019.
A private family service will be held as were her wishes. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to NewBridge On The Charles, the loving and caring community in which Pearl spent her final days, gifts may be made in memory of Pearl R.
