Obituary

Mr. Charles A. Alexander Jr., age 79, of Woburn for over fifty years, passed away April 1st following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Irene (Andre) Alexander. Born in New Bedford he was the son of the late Charles A. Sr. and Elizabeth L. (King) Alexander.

Mr. Alexander was a retired manufacturing engineer. He worked for many years with the RCA corporation and was active in working on their space program. He also worked for a number of years for Raytheon where worked on the Patriot Missile Project.

Mr. Alexander was a United States Air Force Veteran of both WWII and the Korean War. He enjoyed painting and golfing but was mostly devoted to his family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Alexander is predeceased by his daughter Laurie Alexander and his granddaughter Elizabeth Love Thorpe. He is survived by his beloved wife Irene, son Mark Alexander and his wife Cyndy, of Tyngsboro, daughters; Karen Love Thorpe of Arlington and Nancy Paterson and her husband Jeffrey of Bedford. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Eric S. Thorpe, T.J. O´Donnell and Blake Alexander.

His funeral will be from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Wednesday, at 9:30 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemtery, Woburn.
