Randall J. “Randy” Parker, 47, of New Bedford passed away suddenly at home on Sunday June 27, 2021.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Pamela Parker Reardon and the late Randall E. Parker, he lived in Dartmouth for most of his life.
Randy owned and operated his own landscaping business, working throughout the Southcoast area.
An avid sports fan, he played softball at Ashley Park and helped coach his son Austin’s baseball, basketball, and football teams. He also enjoyed playing golf and cooking.
He is survived by his mother, Pam; his beloved son, Austin Parker; his brother, Jake Hebert and his fiancée Renee Perkins: his nieces and nephew, Marley, Jaiden, and Harper; his grandmother, Dolly “M.C. Gamma” Conroy; his aunts and uncles, Cindy Braley and her husband Allen, Heidi Catelli and her husband Jim, Kim Lawton and her husband Artie, and Jeremy Parker and his wife Melissa; his best friend, Justin Fonseca; his faithful dog, Charlie; as well as several cousins and many good friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Randy; his stepfather, Jeremiah “Jerry” Reardon, Jr.; and his grandparents, Ernest and Pauline Parker.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday July 2, 2021 at 10 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in South Dartmouth Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday July 1, 2021 from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an educational fund being established for his son Austin.
