Shirley (Burns) McMorrow, 86, of Bridgewater died peacefully at home on June 28, surrounded by family. She had experienced a brief period of failing health.
She was the daughter of the late George Burns and Edith (Lawson) Burns, and was the sister of the late Geraldine (Burns) Burley.
She is survived by her husband James McMorrow of Bridgewater; daughter Kelly McMorrow of Bridgewater; son Kerry Keene and his wife Pamela of Raynham; and grandchildren Penny McMorrow of Bridgewater and Molly Keene of Raynham. She was also the grandmother of the late Zachary Keene. Shirley also adored her nephew and three nieces and their families.
Born in Whitman, she was a 1952 graduate of Whitman High School. She was employed at the Foxboro Company in East Bridgewater from the late 1960's until the late 1980's.
She enjoyed camping at Ellis Haven Campground all through the 1970's; loved country music, with Johnny Cash being a personal favorite; and was actively involved with the Rhode Island Country Music Association in the 1990's and early 2000's.
Family and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Friday, July 2 from 1 to 2:30 pm in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman followed service at 2:30. Burial will be in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman.
