Francis P. “Frank” Torino, age 78, of Medford passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 27, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Boston’s West End, he was the son of the late Ralph and Mary (Gomes) Torino. Frank was a longtime Medford resident and the owner and operator of Torino Heating Service. He loved fishing and was very creative and good with his hands. Frank loved woodworking and built display cases with meticulous detail. He competed in target shooting and bowling, where he regularly won, including on “Candle Pins For Cash” where he scored a strike.
Frank was the beloved husband of Judith “Judy” (McLeod) Torino, and the devoted father of Cheryl Averso and her husband James of Medford, and Francis "Frankie" P. Torino and his wife Susana of North Carolina. He was the dear brother of Dominic Torino and his wife Constance of Stoneham, Robert Torino and his wife Annabelle of Somerville, and the late Ralph Torino, the late John Torino and his surviving wife Margherita, and the late Mary Castronova and her surviving husband Edward. Frank is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and family.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family on Monday, July 5th from 4 through 8 PM.
A funeral service will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, July 6th at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
