Mildred (Sousa) Rossi, age 90, of Medford passed away on Sunday, June 27th at Winchester Hospital. Raised and educated in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Alvaro and Laurinda (Morgan) Sousa. Mildred was a longtime Medford resident and was employed for many years as an executive assistant at Robert Half Company. Mildred was an animal lover, and also enjoyed tending her garden.
Mildred was the beloved wife of the late Paul J. Rossi, and the devoted mother of Kathleen Rossi of Revere. She was the loving grandmother of Jennifer Rossi, and the dear sister of the late Alvaro Sousa, Richard Sousa and Maria Perreira. Mildred is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted. A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, on Thursday, July 1st at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
