His life story:
Nazaret Sarkissian, passed away, on June 25 2021. He was a loving father, grandfather, husband, and friend. He was born July 27th, 1928 in Raqqa, Syria. He married his beloved wife Ekhsa Keshishian, and together they were blessed with four beautiful children, Hasmig, Hagop, Varteni and Maral. In 1973, he immigrated to the United States with his family, where they established a humble home together in Watertown Massachusetts. He was a very hard working man. He worked as a masterful shoe repairman for many years, and then he retired in his mid 70’s. He spent many of his retired years alongside his family, his son-in-laws, Aram Manoukian and Sam Jarian, and his five lovely grandchildren, Ohan, Jiriar, Sevag, Kevork and Josie, who he absolutely adored. He was a loving, and gentle soul, to all who knew him. The beautiful memories he left behind, will forever be embedded in our hearts. May he Rest In Eternal Peace.
Funeral services will be held at Saint Stephen’s Armenian Apostolic Church, 38 Elton Avenue, Watertown on Monday, June 28 at 12:30 to be followed by burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Saint Stephen’s Armenian Church.
