Obituary

Daniel James "Dan" "Papaw" Fauss, 70, of Anderson died June 23, 2021 at Community Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born March 7, 1951 in Redmond, Oregon, the son of Justin Francis and Verna Louise (Boyd) Fauss. Dan served in the United States Navy. He was an over the road truck driver 35 years before retiring in 2008 due to colorectal cancer. He was a former five Star Chef. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church. He loved spending time with his family, watching wrestling, putting models together and cooking.

Dan is survived by his wife of nearly four years, Jennifer Fauss of Anderson whom he married September 4, 2017; eleven children, Justin Fauss, Jennie Fauss and Cody Fauss both of Ogden, Utah, Amanda (Brian) Dowling of Washington Terrace, Utah, Barbara "Barbie" Fauss, Johnathan Russell, Michael (Olivia) Fauss, Kathryn "Kat" Barnes, Dale (Lisa) Leisure, Joseph Leisure and Jason Leisure all of Anderson; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Phyllis Estelle; sister, Debra Hood; former spouse, Jayne Fauss; several nieces; nephews; and his furry companion Sassy. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-son, Joseph Leisure.

Graveside service will be held at noon on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at East Maplewood Cemetery with Robert Bell of Bethany Christian Church officiating.
