Braden Looper, 90, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson.
He was born on November 3, 1930 in Overton County, Tennessee, the son of Att and Ollie Maude (Looper) Looper. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was employed as a toolmaker at Delco Remy for 42 years, retiring on October 1, 1996. He was a member of East 38th Street Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles, yard work, gardening and old trucks.
Survivors include his wife Violet (Moore) Jones; son, Michael Looper of Illinois; grandchildren, Jesse Looper, Matthew (Heather) Looper, Ryne Looper, Braden D. Looper, Ethan Looper; Great grandchildren Grant, Emily, Brooke and Bria.
Braden was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Janice and Peggy Looper; brother, Dennis Looper and a son, David Looper.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021at 11 am at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Eric Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to 38th Street Freewill Baptist Church.
