In Taunton, Robert N. Ouellette, Age 78, passed away in his home on June 23, 2021 with his beloved daughter by his side. Robert was born in Dighton, the son of the late Normand and Dorothy (Plunkett) Ouellette.
Robert had resided all his life in the Taunton area. He served his country during the Vietnam War while in the U.S. Navy. Robert was employed as a mailman, working more than 30 years in Brockton before his retirement.
He enjoyed golfing, NASCAR, watching his favorite sports teams the Patriots and Red Sox and spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his daughter Amy Shudt and her husband Paul of Ballston Spa, NY and his son Robert Ouellette and partner Steve of Brentwood, NH, his siblings; Brian Ouellette of Lyonsdale, NY, Raynor Chaplin of Taunton, Robin Nelson of Brooklyn, CT and the late Michelle Aponte. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Monday, June 28th from 9:30-10:30am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church in Taunton at 11am. Burial will be on Tuesday at the Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY at 1pm.
