Maureen Bonafine née O’Sullivan of Boston passed away Tuesday June 22nd 2021. She is remembered for all her social justice activism. She dedicated her life’s work to the Archdiocese of Boston and 1199 SEIU. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Vincent Edward Bonafine Sr, her son, Vincent Edward Bonafine jr. Her daughter, Caitlin Marie Bonafine (Nicolas Lessault). By her father Christy O’Sullivan, her sister, Bernadette Hackett (John Hackett), her sister, Donna Lamb (Arthur Lamb), her brother, Chris O’Sullivan (Wendy O’Sullivan) her mother the late Bridie O'Sullivan, and her pets, Bear, Enzo, Finn, her extended family and friends that she treated as family. In lieu of flowers, she wished for donations in her name to St. Judes Children’s Hospital or Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday June 27, 2021 from 4-6 PM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home located at 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, Ma. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church Monday June 28, 2021 at 10 AM. Burial will be private.
