Terry Day, 67, of Abbeville, Georgia, died Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Johnny Ashe officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Day was born December 29, 1953, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Julius & Annie Lou Weaver Day. Mr. Day served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He received his Associates Degree from Tri County Technical School in Pendleton, South Carolina and retired from a career in maintenance. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Julie Day of Abbeville; his children: Gwen & Chad Morgan of Abbeville and Jonathan Day; grandchild, Christopher Morgan and two brothers: Ned & Gail Day of Fitzgerald and Gerald Day of Sylvester.
