Domenico Marchetti, 90, of Plainfield Pike, died Friday, March 31, 2006 at Hopkins Manor. He was the husband of Grace (Court) Marchetti. They were married for 69 years.
He had worked at M& F Worcested Mills for 20 years and also at Leesona Corporation for 15 years. He was an uncomplicated man, living a simple life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time with his family.
Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late Joseph and Yolanda (Carnevale) Marchetti. He lived in Johnston and was a communicant of St. Rocco’s Church his whole life.
He is survived by two sons, Domenic Marchetti and his wife Vivian of Harrisville, Charles Marchetti and his wife Jacqueline of Bristol, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, a brother Anthony Marchetti of Newington, CT, and a sister Ann Sugden of Billerica, MA. He was the brother of the late George and Mary Marchetti, Virginia Allen and Carmella Mancini.
His funeral is Tuesday at 9:00am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Rocco’s Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation Monday 4-7. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
