Michele Judith Villani, 60, of Londonderry, NH passed away Thursday June 17, 2021 in her home. Michele was born in Springfield, MA on October 20, 1960, and was raised in West Caldwell, NJ. She was a daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret (Marlowe) Gamache. She had been a resident of Londonderry since 2000, formerly living in Yardley, PA.
Michele will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She had a warm sense of humor and a sharp wit. Michele was a compassionate spirit who took great joy in raising and fostering cats. Her dedication to her family and friends was inspiring to all of those who knew her. Sensitive and caring, Michele had the nurturing instincts of her mother, who raised eight children, combined with the analytical intellect of her father, a mechanical engineer. Always committed to her family, her children are all proud to call her mom. Michele enjoyed spending time at The Lake with her family and friends every single summer for the last four decades. While her family grieves her loss, we wish to celebrate the joy that she brought into our lives.
Michele is survived by her husband of 40 years, Thomas S. Villani of Londonderry, one son, Dr. Thomas S. Villani, Jr. and his wife Courtney of Belle Mead, NJ, two daughters, Lisa N. Villani-Gale and her husband Dr. Alexander of Chicago, IL, and Rachel A. Silverman and her husband Leon of Derry. She was the beloved grandmother to Jason, Louis and Philip, who knew her as “Mémère.” Michele is also survived by five sisters, Margaret Mary Weinberg, Anne Hammell, Ellen Reichert, Kathryn Goldman, and Lisa Reulbach, as well as dozens of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two siblings, Michael Gamache, and Mary Bullard.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Saturday June 26, 2021 from 2 - 5pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry.
