Evangeline "Vangie" (Cabral) Lemos, 91, of New Bedford died June 17, 2021 at home after a long illness surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of the late Richard L. Lemos.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Anselmo and Evangelina (Fonseca) Cabral, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She enjoyed attending seniors clubs at the Moose Lodge, Panthers Club and at Acushnet Council on Aging for retirees textile club. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting newborn caps for the hospital and children's clothing.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Deborah Sulyma and her husband John and Carolyn Gervasi and her husband Michael, all of New Bedford.
Her family will receive guests on Tuesday, June 22nd from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church in New Bedford at 11 AM. A private burial will take place at a later date.
