FALL RIVER – Edward A. Costa, age 82 of Fall River and previously of Stratford, CT, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021. Born in Fall River, Edward was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (Caron) Costa and the son of the late Antone and Diamentina “Diana” (Arruda) Costa.
Ed was a US Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He graduated in 1957 from B.M.C. Durfee High School and with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting in 1974 from Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport, CT. Prior to retiring, Ed worked as a Purchasing Supervisor of Office Equipment and Supplies for Avco Corporation’s Lycoming Engines division and Xerographic Copy & Computer Supplies in Bridgeport, CT.
He is survived by his sister, Diana C. Smith and her husband, Carlton S. Smith of Fall River; and his nephew, Carlton S. Smith Jr., and his wife, Elizabeth R. Smith of Newton. Ed was also the brother of the late Robert A. Costa of Fall River.
