Ann Theresa (Gustowski) Trotta, 69, of Whitman, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on June 15th at the Seasons Hospice, Milton, Massachusetts.
She was born in the Bronx, New York in 1951 and was the eldest daughter of Chester (Chet) and Stasia Gustowski.
She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1973 with a degree in Physical Education and Health, received her Master’s degree from Lesley University, and was a teacher within the Whitman-Hanson Regional School District.
Ann was a volunteer at the Whitman Food Pantry, was on the Board of Trustees of the Whitman Public Library, served as Secretary of the South Shore Tennis Association, and was a devoted eucharistic minister at the Holy Ghost Parish in Whitman, Massachusetts.
She enjoyed the Boston sports teams, spending time with family and friends, the Cape, playing and watching tennis and was also an avid reader.
She was the loving wife of Robert (Bob) Trotta for 47 years, and the sister of Paul Gustowski of San Antonio, Texas, Clare (Gustowski) Shepherd of Oregon and Carol (Gustowski) Mahoney of Stamford, Connecticut. She leaves behind one daughter and one son, Michele (Trotta) DeVito of Norfolk, Virginia and Marc Trotta of Watertown, Massachusetts, three grandchildren, Jack, Clara and Matthew, as well as son-in-law Justin DeVito and daughter-in-law Paula Murphy-Trotta.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, June 21 from 4-7 pm at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, (Route 58 at the rotary) Whitman, MA and her funeral service on Tuesday June 22 at 8:15 am from the Chapel followed by a funeral Mass at 9 am in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will be in the Saint James Cemetery.
