New Bedford – Debora (Soares) Botelho, age 59, of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Artur Botelho.
Debora was born in Sao Mateus, Terceira to Jose Soares and Elvira (Gil) Soares. She had worked as an assembler for a local electronics manufacturing company for many years.
Debora is survived by her husband, Artur; her children, Chad Botelho and his wife Stacy and Justin Botelho and his wife Jessica; grandchildren, Kamryn, Madison, Remi, Andreia and Mia; as well as her siblings, Joao Soares, Susana Couto, Rosa DeMelo, Maria Sousa, Gloria Raposo and Idalina Oliveira; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her late brother, Francisco Soares.
Debora’s visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Her funeral will take place on Monday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
