Patrick A. Mahon of New Bedford died on Saturday June 12, 2021 at the age 86. He was the loving husband of Gaetane (Boulay) Mahon for 60 years.
Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Howard) Mahon.
Patrick was retired from International Dryer as a shipper and receiver.
He was active in the ACA (Association Canado-American), and at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. He was awarded the Marian Medal from the Diocese of Fall River in recognition of his dedicated service to the Catholic Church.
Patrick was an avid New York Yankees and Green Bay Packer fan.
He is survived by his wife, Gaetane; his children, Christine A. Gadbois and her husband Bruce and Carol Landreville; his sister, Kathleen Dougherty; three grandchildren, Brent Gadbois and his wife Victoria, Jennifer Gadbois and Christopher Landreville, Jr.; his great-granddaughter, Mia Vera Gadbois and a new great child to come; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Christopher Landreville, Sr., and his siblings, John Mahon and Caroline Mahon.
His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday June 19, 2021 at 10 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. His family will receive visitors at the Church beginning at 9 AM.
