Elizabeth Ann (Perry) Lestage, 82, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 12th, 2021, after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Paul M. Lestage.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Anthony and Alyce (Fraga) Perry, she lived in New Bedford all of her life, and worked at St. Luke's Hospital as a cardiopulmonary technologist and respiratory therapist for many years.
An avid painter and amateur photographer, Elizabeth was a member of the New Bedford Bierstadt Art Society and the Whaling City Camera Club. She also loved music and singing, and performed in her local church choir.
Survivors include her son, Brent Lestage and his wife Holly of Mattapoisett; her granddaughter Brittany Lestage and her companion Alex Corazzini of Mattapoisett; her grandson Taylor Lestage and his companion Caitlin Hogan of New Bedford; three sisters, Marie Perry, Karen Perry-Rose of New Bedford and Angela Hague of CO; three brothers, Lawrence Perry of CT, Robert Perry of Dennis and Martin Perry of Brewster; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Anthony Perry, Ruth Bates and Valerie Perry.
According to her wishes, a private family burial service will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park Street, New Bedford.
