Brooke Alexis “Lexie” Sanders, 26, of Tifton, Georgia, died Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Chris Solomon officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Lexie was born January 3, 1995, in Coffee County, Georgia to Wendy Lynn Watson Johnson and Scott Sanders. She was a 2013 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. Lexie was a wonderful mother to her two sons. She had a good heart and was a beautiful soul, inside and out. Although she could be tough, she was always there for her family and friends if they ever needed anything.
She is survived by her two sons: Keagan Sanders and Caleb Walker; her mother, Wendy Watson Johnson & Lamar Johnson of Tifton; her father, Scott Sanders of Fitzgerald; siblings: Danielle Jones, Jeffrey Watson, Brice Sanders, Shaelyn Sanders, Scottie Sanders, Josh Johnson, Terri Melton, and Kanon Johnson; grandparents: Shirley & David Watson and Patricia Smith, all of Fitzgerald; great-grandmother: Gladys Sanders of Fitzgerald; several aunts, uncles, and cousins including: Stephanie Watson, Faith & Jason McDonald, Chris & Jill Smith, Matt & Kim DeFore, and Jenny & Troy Mitchell. She was preceded in death by two grandfathers: Mike DeFore and Greg Smith.
