Richard F. Burleigh, 77, died June 12, 2021 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Exeter on October 14, 1943 the son of Gerald and Hazel (Rhodes) Burleigh.
He was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and supporting his grandchildren in their sports and extracurricular activities. He also enjoyed sports and was an avid Yankees fan.
Prior to his retirement he worked in masonry and later in automobile sales, the majority of which were spent at Dobles of Manchester.
He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Carol (Philibert) Burleigh of Manchester, two sons, Richard R. Burleigh and his wife, Eileen of Hooksett, John Burleigh of Derry, one daughter; Kathleen Carano and her husband, Jeff of Epping, six grandchildren; Katelyn, Zachary, Nicholas, Diana, Richard, Carolyn, and four great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons, 110 Bridge St.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 10 am in Holy Rosary Church, Main St., Hooksett.
Committal prayers will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
