Robert Richard “Bob” Lanni, age 79, of Maynard passed away on Saturday, June 12th. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Bennie and Antoinette “Mamie” (Intinarelli) Lanni. Bob was a 60-year member of Local 4 International Union of Operating Engineers and a member of the Charles River Radio Control Fliers Club, as well as the Academy of Model Aeronautics. He was an avid fisherman and a New England Patriots fan … but only if they were winning! Bob was a feeder of many local squirrels and occasional birds, and he loved spending time with family …most importantly storytelling and reminiscing.
Bob was the beloved husband of Paula (Evans) Lanni and the devoted father of Christopher Lanni and his wife Rebecca of Maynard. He was the dear brother of Rita Lawless Conti of Malden, Theresa Lunn of Lynn, Paul Lanni of Medford, John Lanni of Malden, and the late Marguerite I. Corrado, Frances Stahler, Pauline D'Allesandro, Benedict F., Arthur and Albert Lanni. Bob is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Saturday, June 19th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday, June 18th from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
