Arthur P. Iannessa, age 89, of Medford passed away on Friday, June 11th, at Winchester Hospital. A lifelong Medford resident, he was the son of the late Arturo and Adelina (Colella) Iannessa. Arthur was a graduate of Mass School of Art, and worked in sales for Borison Inc for many years. Arthur was a gentleman who was endearing, charismatic and loyal; maintaining a close circle of lifelong friendships with gentlemen he originally met in kindergarten. He was a prolific history buff, who loved learning, golf and great food. Arthur was a devoted and cherished family man.
Arthur was the beloved husband of Rosalie (Drago) Iannessa for almost sixty years, and the devoted father of Arthur Iannessa Jr. of Medford, and Mia Brousse and her husband Matthew of Marblehead. He was the loving grandfather of Giovanni and Ava Iannessa, and Jack and Avien Brousse. Arthur was the dear brother of the late Alice and Frank Generazzo, the late Alfred and Rose Iannessa, and the late Ralph and Mildred Iannessa, and is survived by his nephew, Steve Iannessa, his wife Janice and many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Friday, June 18th at 12:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may visit with family from 11 through 12:30 PM. Arthur’s family respectfully requests that everyone in attendance continue to wear a mask while in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
