Kimberly Freitas, 52 of Tewksbury, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her home in Tewksbury. She was the wife of John Freitas celebrating 16 years of marriage, and the mother of Anthony Freitas.
Kimberly was born on January 22, 1969 and was a daughter of George and Carol Derewenko. In her leisure time, Kimberly enjoyed cooking, going to the beach, taking daily walks, and participating the Tewksbury Moms Club. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a caring person with a big heart. As a Support Group Coordinator for the American Pain and Disability Foundation, she was a passionate advocate for those with chronic pain. She developed and facilitated her own Circle of Pain support group in Tewksbury.
She is survived by her husband, John and her son, Anthony; her niece, Amanda Haddad & her spouse, Kaveh; her birth mother, Diane McDonald; as well as many in-laws, cousin, and friend. She was the sister of the late, Anthony Derewenko.

On Tuesday, June 15, 2021, all are welcome to attend her calling hours from 10a.m.-12 noon at Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury 978-851-2061. A procession will follow for her funeral service at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury.
