Richard P. Martial, age 80, passed away on May 16, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born on Nov. 10, 1940 in Chicopee, a son of the late John P. and Clara (Guerin) Martial. Richard went to St George School and later joined the US Coast Guard. He worked at Spaulding, American Bosch, Smith and Wesson and delivered newspapers. He is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth “Betty” L. Martial who passed away in 2018. He is survived by his sons David and Dennis, his brothers and sisters, Normand, Lorraine, John, Anita, Evelyn, Leonard and George. He also leaves one aunt, Jeane Talbot along with many nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him dearly. Calling hours will be held the morning of the funeral, Saturday, June 12, 2021 in St Cecilia’s Church, Wilbraham from 10:00 -11:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 AM followed by burial in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Chicopee. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
