Willie James Marchant, 80, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Pruitt Health in Fitzgerald.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 Tuesday evening at Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald. A memorial graveside will be held at a later date.
Mr. Marchant was born December 28, 1940, in Tifton, Georgia, to the late Willie Jacob & Lula Bell Allison Marchant. He was a farmer and worked as an engineer, being skilled at working on engines and motors. He loved to hunt and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children: Gina & John Gordon of Fitzgerald, Danny Dale Daniel Nasworthy of Tifton, Jennifer Marchant of Texas, and Casey Marchant of Florida; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Joseph Marchant and a daughter, Darlene Dinkins.
