Earle C. “Clay” Booth, Jr., 69, of Clifton Park, NY died Wednesday, June 9th. He leaves his wife, Marcia (Smith) Booth; his children, Sean Michael Booth of Worcester, Kerry Lynn Metcalf (Scott Rudman) of Leicester, Stephen Blake Booth (Kayla Mickey-Frichette) of Clifton Park, NY; grandchildren, Patrick Booth, Jamison Metcalf, Payton Booth, and Griffin Metcalf; his siblings, Deborah Senior (William), Susan Clancey (Thomas), Kimberly Reynolds (Kevin), Dwight Booth (Barbara), James Booth (Lisa), and stepsister Patricia Petro; his mother and father-in-law Linda and Delma Smith; his brother’s-in-law Frederick Smith, Mark Smith and sister’s-in-law Tracy Simmons, Jennifer Shaw and their spouses. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews; his former wife Marcia Quinn Booth; dear friends Kevin and Joanne McGurn, Pucka and Judy Poltorak, George Thorng and Beloved King Charles Cavaliers: Gracie and Stella. He was predeceased by two step-brothers, Joseph Obert and George Booth.
Raised in Auburn, Massachusetts the son of Earle C. and Anna F. Booth. He attended Auburn Public Schools and graduated from Becker College.
In 1967, Earle began his career at Smith Valve in Worcester and Westboro where he worked his way up to Production Control Manager. He went on to work at Sealed Air in Scotia, NY where he eventually retired in 2013. He worked very hard and made many lifelong friends throughout his career. His family was so proud of his accomplishments.
“Clay” was an avid golfer and car enthusiast, his prized possession being his ’55 Chevy BelAir. He loved going to the beach where he spent many hours chatting and laughing with his family and friends. “Clay” also enjoyed camping at Indianhead and Mohawk Trail as well as going to the ski house.
His funeral is Monday, June 14th with a service at 11:00 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester. Clay’s visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the start of the service on Monday.
