Dorothy “Faye” Drawdy Warren, 82, of Nashville passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2021, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Marv Williams and the Rev. Payne Pitts officiating. Mrs. Warren will be laid to rest at Mount Paron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Alapaha with the Rev. T. J. Mauldin officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will be meeting at Mrs. Warren’s residence at 208 North Bartow Street in Nashville.
Jackie Drawdy, Tony Mauldin, Dale Drawdy, Keith Newbern, Ashley Durrance, Eric Rowan, Stephen Drawdy and Larry Warren will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Warren’s remaining nephews.
Born on January 19, 1939, in Berrien County, Mrs. Warren was the daughter of the late Ida Ruth Sumner Drawdy and the Rev. Ernest “Leon” Drawdy. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, James “Coleman” Warren; two sons, Charles Warren and Donald Warren; and two brothers, Henry Daniel “Dan” Drawdy and Dewey Drawdy. She worked for the Berrien County Board of Education for many years and she was a homemaker. She lived in Alapaha for 59 years and she was of the Holiness faith. She was well loved by all of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all.
Mrs. Warren is survived by two daughters, Donna Warren Valdez and Sherri Warren Wells, both of Nashville; four brothers, Bobby Drawdy of Omega, Jack Drawdy and Donnie Drawdy, both of Ty Ty and David Drawdy of Tifton; one sister, Myrtice Mauldin of Albany; five grandchildren and their spouses, Kim and Jose C., Jamie and Jessica Cribb, Brad and Miranda Wells, Jonathan and Jessica Wells and Brandi and Jesse Busby; and 16 great-grandchildren.
