Anne E. “Nancy” (Dunne) Gallagher, 82, of Franklin, died Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northbridge. She was the beloved wife of Leo J. Gallagher, Sr. for 60 years.
Born in Boston on August 3, 1938, she was the daughter of the late George and Sarah (Carter) Dunne.
Nancy was a resident of Franklin for the past 60 years. She grew up in Allston, graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Brookline and earned her nursing degree from Lasell University in Newton.
Before her retirement, she worked as a registered nurse at Norwood Hospital for over 30 years.
Nancy enjoyed gardening and vacationing in Chatham.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son Leo Gallagher, Jr and his wife Lucy of Franklin, her daughter Shannon Reeve of Franklin and five grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother, Harold Dunne and his wife Vicky of Wakefield and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers; George, Robert, James and Michael Dunne.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
