Catherine L. Fagan "Kay" (nee Connors) (nee Buckley) of Milton, formerly of Jamaica Plain, died June 8th at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her husbands, Thomas H. Buckley and John F. Fagan, MD. She is survived by her loving children: Carol Buckley and her husband Michael Fay, Thomas Buckley and his wife Marguerite, and Brian Buckley and his wife Kristen. “CC” was a beloved grandmother of Catherine Naber, MD, Timothy Naber, Peter Buckley and his wife Cara, Alexander Buckley, and Lauren Buckley. She was great-grandmother to Nathanael and Maren Buckley and cherished in-law and friend to Pauline Valway and Henry “Doc” Grady. Kay was born in Jamaica Plain and graduated from Notre Dame Academy (Roxbury) and Trinity College in Washington, DC. She recently celebrated her 71st college reunion. She enjoyed summers in Acapesket, MA and winters in Naples, FL, where she loved the camaraderie of beach living. Upon the death of her husband Tom in 1971, she assumed the role of running his insurance agency and, as a single parent, raised three wonderful children who are forever grateful for her love and support. Kay’s family and friends will always remember her quick wit, fun-loving spirit and impeccable sense of style. Visitation for family and friends will occur at St. Thomas Aquinas Church 95 South St.Jamaica Plain on Friday June, 11, 2021 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Holyhood Cemetery, Chestnut Hill. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Catherine L.
