Dane F. Barros, Jr., 4 months and 4 days old, of New Bedford, passed away on June 2nd, 2021 unexpectedly at home.
He was the son of Dane F. Barros, Sr. and Heather Ferreira of New Bedford.
Survivors include his parents; four siblings, Cameron, Ariana, Jae'ana, and Janiyah; his grandparents, Ronnette Barros, Jerry Davis, Thomas Hamlin, Paula Bento, Jose Amaral, and Joao Ferreira; two great-grandparents, Linda Robinson and Maria Bento; great-aunt Roberta Lowrey; five uncles, Spencer Barros, Jamal Davis, Michael Medeiros, John Ferreira, and Michael Ferreira; nine aunts, LeTeisha Robinson, Valerie Cabral, Taryn Offley, Robin Offley Atkinson, Alexandria Hamlin, Christine Ferreira, Taylin Hamlin, Reinelle Gomes Watson, and Stephanie Ferreira. Dane Sr. Godparents are Donna and Richard Johnson, Tammy Martin, Spencer Barros, Jeffrey Silva, and Mary Martin. Dane Jr.'s Godparents are Carmen and Tyrone Johnson.
He was the great-grandson of the late Ronald Robinson and Antonio Bento; great-great-grandson of the late Pauline Faria; and great-nephew of the late Ann Monteiro; and nephew of the late Jeffrey Ferreira.
His wake will be held Thursday, June 10th, from 5-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. His funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, June 11th, at 10:30 AM. Guests are invited to the funeral home for 10AM. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
