Garnet Marjorie "Marge" (Batt) Martin, 96, of Anderson died peacefully at her residence after an extended illness.
Marge was born September 9, 1924, in Muncie, the daughter of Clifford and Florence (Wood) Batt.
She worked assembly at Delco Remy Division of General Motors 30 1/2 years before retiring in 1978.
She is survived by her son, Burt (companion Lou Robinson) Martin of Anderson; two grandchildren, Hope Greer and Toby Martin; three great grandchildren, Gage Crooks, Victoria Angeline Hart and Gavin Greer; nephew, Richard (Linda) Batt; close friends, Claudia Wright and Diane Holtz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of more than 60 years, George Martin whom she married April 5, 1947 and her brother, Robert R. Batt.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark of Chesterfield Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service on Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Hospital for Children.
