VENTURA - 1942-2021
Kathleen passed away peacefully May 21st in Ventura surrounded by her family.
Kathleen was born May 13th, 1942 in Seattle, Washington and grew up in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California. It was there that she met the love of her life, Richard Yuss. They fell in love with Ventura and moved here in 1976. The two were married for 53 years before Richard passed in 2015. Together again in heaven, they are sharing a sunset, laugh, and glass of wine. She is survived by her 3 children: Christine, Celeste, and Tim; 3 grandchildren: Steven, Kirstin, and Brian; and 3 great grandchildren: Meriah, Brody, and Madison.
Kathleen was a member of so many social clubs it is hard for her children to even remember them all! Among them were the Ventura County Corvette Club, Ventura County Chevy Club, local book club, bible study group at Sacred Heart in Ventura, Ventura County Republican and many others throughout the years.
Kathleen loved sewing, cross-stitching, reading, and, above all else, socializing with friends and family. So many of her friends have reached out to her children to express just how special she was to them and how lucky each felt to have known her.
A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held Saturday, June 12th, 2pm at Sacred Heart Church
located at 10800 Henderson Rd., Ventura, CA 93004 followed by a reception from 4-6pm at Magnavino Cellars located at 961 N. Rice Ave., Oxnard, CA 93030.
