Stephen E. Melanson Sr., of Medford, June 6th. Beloved husband of the late Virginia M. (Dwyer) Melanson with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. Father of Joanne Melanson and her husband Richard Mederos of Salem, Stephen E. Melanson II and his wife Diane of Medford, Brian W. Melanson of Medford and the late Jeffrey T. Melanson. Grandfather of Danny, Brendan, Ashley, Lauren and Samantha. Great grandfather of Nolan and Tristan. Brother of Theresa Martin of New Mexico and the late Marie White. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Stephen was born and raised in Cambridge. He is a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. For many years, he worked as a sales representative for Eastco in Cambridge, the Stan Pierce Company and for Lincoln Labs, where he retired as the warehouse manager. Stephen was an avid builder and woodworker who built his own home on Lake Attitash. He served on the board of the Lake Attitash Association for many years. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden on Monday June 14th at 10 AM.
