Chester J. Macierowski was a strong and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He left this world on June 4, 2021 at age 77 from cardiac complications.
He is survived by: his beloved wife Catherine “Cathy”; his two daughters Deborah and her husband Howard Vinton, and Karen and her husband Anthony Baptista; his sister Barbara and her husband Paul Ray; a cousin Katherine and her husband Michael Walsh; and many dear friends. He also leaves behind his three precious grandchildren: Michael Macierowski, Caitlin Vinton, and Tyler Baptista.
Chet was preceded in death by his parents Julian and Stephanie Macierowski. A life-long resident of South Boston, he attended Boston Latin School and went on to become a teacher after graduating from Boston College. He taught for 33 years at South Boston High School.
Chet loved spending his days with his wife, Cathy. They just recently celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved by all.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-7pm on Tuesday, June 8th at Casper Funeral Home, located at 187 Dorchester Street in South Boston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day on Wednesday, June 9 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Czestochowa, located at 655 Dorchester Avenue in South Boston. Interment services will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery at 175 Broadway in Malden, MA.
