Joan S. Bazinet, 79, of Derry, NH died Saturday June 5, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Joan was born in Boston, MA on January 19, 1942, a daughter of the late, Morris and Phyllis (Cavalieri) Cooper. She had resided in Derry for the past seven years, formerly living in Salem, NH and Haverhill, MA.
Joan retired from the US Department of Education where she worked as a supervisor. She enjoyed crafts, and craft fairs and especially loved her two little dogs.
She is survived by her sister, Dottie Riccio of Derry, her brother, Robert Cooper and his wife Debra of Dennis, MA, as well several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Ronald R. Bazinet in 2012, and her brother, Richard Cooper and his wife Deborah.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Saturday June 12, 2021 from 2 – 4pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. For those in attendance, face mask usage and social distancing are recommended.
She will be interred with her husband in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA at a later date.
