Wilson " Sonny" Ordoyne, 67, of Ventura, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 3, 2021.
Sonny was born on December 8, 1953 in Thibodaux, Louisiana and has been a Ventura County resident for the last 33 years, coming from Reseda.
Sonny was an Operations and Field Supervisor since 1988 in the oil fields and most recently, a Security Guard for Allied Security for 2 years.
Sonny enjoyed the beach, camping, and being outdoors. He was a musician and played in the marching band. He played the trumpet, bass guitar, and the keyboard.
He was a U.S. Marine Veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
Sonny is survived by his beloved wife: Ellen Ordoyne, whom he married in 1975; his daughter: Charisse Ordoyne, of Bakersfield; his sons: Chad Ordoyne and Jason Ordoyne, both of Ventura; his brother: Carroll Ordoyne, of Louisiana; his sisters: Betty Bernard and Nellie Oncale, both of Louisiana; and 5 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father: Wilson Ordoyne, Sr.; his mother: Elma Gros; his daughter: Chantel Ordoyne; and his brother: Vernon Ordoyne.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the BOYKO & REARDON MORTUARY & CREMATION, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura.
