Jean P. Allain, 88, of Worcester died, Wednesday, June 2nd in UMass Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Lucille T. (Gaumond) Allain; his son, Steven Allain and his wife, Rose of Auburn; his daughter, Cheryl Norman and her husband, Steven of Leicester; a brother, Robert Allain in Missouri; five grandchildren, Krystal Courville, Matthew Norman, Brandon, Brianna and Brittany Allain and two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Zachary Courville.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Henry and Betsy Allain: and had served in the United States Air Force. Jean had owned and operated Jean's Foreign Auto for many years before retiring. Jean was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish and the MG Club. Among his favorite pastimes were fixing clocks, building birdhouses and tinkering with anything that needed repair, as well as gardening. Most of all he enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 8th at 10:00 a.m. in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 7th at the funeral home.
