Obituary



Worcester – Russell A. Hultquist, 67, of Worcester, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 while surrounded by his family.

Russell is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Pamela J. (McManus) Hultquist; his children, Russell Hultquist Jr. and his wife, Jill of Spencer and Renee Parker and her husband, Matthew of Spencer; his parents, Edwin and Ruth (Kacavich) Hultquist of Worcester; three brothers, Kenneth Hultquist of Worcester, Brian Hultquist of Rutland and Richard Hultquist of Worcester; a sister, Donna Magarian of Kingman, AZ; 6 grandchildren, Abbigail, Camden, Xander, Brian, Arianna and Mackenzie and many nephews and nieces.

Mr. Hultquist was born and raised in Worcester, he graduated from Burncoat High School and attained a bachelor’s degree from New England School of Accounting. He retired from Verizon after working for over 20 years as a warehouse manager.

Russell was a member of Saint Andrew the Apostle Church. He was an avid golfer and bowled in many leagues and even went as far as Arizona to participate in tournaments. Russell was an enthusiastic sports fan and especially enjoyed the Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed taking day trips to the casino and attended many concerts with the Celtic Women being of his favorites. Russell had the joy of traveling many places with his wife, Pamela and proudly told his friends and family that he visited every Major League Baseball Ballpark. He enjoyed many things throughout his lifetime, but he was truly the happiest when he was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

A funeral will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in Saint Andrew the Apostle Church 5 Spaulding St. Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 6 from 4 to 6 PM in the funeral home.
